The Armory 1800 Mission St @ 14th, San Francisco, CA 94103
Sunday May 18th NKECHI Astral Soul Songstress LIVE! @ 10:30 am. Doors open at 10 am
What is Mission Bazaar?

Set amidst one of the San Francisco’s most dramatic historical landmark buildings, Mission Bazaar is a unique craft and performance expo that will showcase some of the Bay Area’s most vibrant creative talent. Mission Bazaar will take place on Saturday, May 17th and Sunday, May 18th from 10 am – 8 pm at The Armory at 14th & Mission in San Francisco. NKECHI Astral Soul Songstress & Band perform Sunday May 18th @ 10;30 am.

Mission Bazaar will showcase a diverse collection of artisans exhibiting their creative works, products, fashion and accessories. There will be over 20 hours of live performances on three stages featuring live music, circus and dance acts, performance artists and DJs, including gypsy jazz, bellydance, spoken word, beatbox, choral ensembles, fashion shows, puppetry, flamenco guitar, and much more. In addition, Mission Bazaar has invited a diverse cross-section of Mission-based non-profit organizations to attend.

Mission Bazaar will be the first public event at the historic San Francisco Armory in over thirty years. This 200,000 square foot reproduction Moorish Castle was completed in 1914 and was used as a National Guard facility until 1976. The Armory was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 and has been out of official use since this time.

Building owner Peter Acworth reflects, “I am very glad that the Armory is able to contribute to the cultural vibrance of the Mission community. The Armory is a building that deserves to be opened to the public and I am delighted that the local community is getting involved.”

From the producers of the Edwardian Ball & Spectra Ball, Mission Bazaar promises to help support the creative economy of San Francisco and the Mission community, while bringing together thousands of attendees to discover the wonders of the diverse artisans and performers showcased.
